There is something so aesthetically pleasing about having all of your spice jars match. Like.. when you buy spices, from one company, and all the plastic bottles are the same height with the same font and imaging style, its great. But then what about when you start to deviate, mix and match, and try new spice blends? I about had enough when I couldn't make heads or tails of my spices any longer. The diverse selection was far too stimulating for me and I found myself not being able to find what i needed while cooking.

A spice drawer neatly organized with 22 spices fitting in a 12 inch drawer base. All jars are perfectly labeled with black labels depicting different spices in each jar

So I threw them all out.

OK. It wasn't THAT dramatic.... but I did make sure to purchase a matching jar set because the root of my issue was not finding the spices I needed.. Why? Because it was too visually stimulating to simply open my cabinet, immediately see what I needed, and pick it up.

I opted for this simple design spice jar set. The labels are minimalistic style so I'm more inclined to actually read them. Or even better, now I can grab spices on the fly because I can ACTUALLY SEE what's inside the bottle as its not entirely covered up with a label!

How to Fill

These spice jar organizer s were super easy to fill because they actually came with a blue silicone funnel. This allowed me to pour my spices into jars easily with out spilling. I also noticed the funnel was wide at the bottom so larger spices like parsley didn't clog up the funnel. With it being made of silicone, I was able to shake it clean after each use ensuring my flavors weren't mixing as I went.

Goodbye Plastic

Did I mention these jars were made out of glass? That's a pretty big deal for me. I have been making a conscious effort to reduce single use plastics in my household. I have been buying my spices loose (meaning no containers) from the farmers market near me. They're fresh, organic, I trust how they are processed and most importantly, no plastic waste!

Custom Labels for the Spice Jar Organization Set

This jar set comes with waterproof labels - black, circles with white letters. They each also have blanks and come with a white gel pen for you to write your own label on it! I thought this was brilliant when it came time to fill a jar for my Everything Bagel seasoning... to my surprise there was no label for this iconic blend of salty goodness 😱. I was able to write on the extra labels provided and crisis was averted
